Descriptions:
This video is a raw, honest, and deeply personal update on my ongoing journey living with tonsil cancer, a form of throat cancer that begins in the tonsils at the back of the throat and can spread to the surrounding lymph nodes in the neck.
Tonsil cancer falls under the broader category of oropharyngeal cancer and is often associated with HPV (human papillomavirus), as well as risk factors such as tobacco use and alcohol consumption. In many cases, the early symptoms can be subtle and easy to overlook—things like a persistent sore throat, difficulty swallowing, or the feeling that something is stuck in your throat. These signs may not seem serious at first, but they can be early indicators of something much more significant.
In this update, I share what life has been like since my last video in August 2025. It’s now been over seven months of living in a state of uncertainty—knowing I have cancer, understanding how it can progress, yet still waiting for surgery and the next phase of treatment. This period of “limbo” brings its own challenges—mentally, emotionally, and physically—as you try to stay strong while facing the unknown.
I open up about what this waiting period feels like, how I’m coping day to day, and what I’ve learned about patience, resilience, and holding onto hope during one of the most uncertain times in my life.
